Some places in this world are much more dangerous to visit or to live, especially as an foreigner or if you visually stand out. We picked these cities for our list due to their extremely high crime rates, percentage of violent crimes and unreported crimes.

Cape Town, South Africa, unfortunately suffers from high crime rates, partially due to separation of wealth and dangerous sections of the city. Though being a big player in regards to tourism, people who travel there should research safety measures to make sure your trip is sage and peaceful.

As it is a big city, certain sections of it are safe, but others have high rates of crime, these include kidnapping, murder and robbery.
